A Note from the President

We have lots of announcements to make as Spring is arriving in full splendor! First off, the lodge floor is now completed and looks exceptional. It adds a whole new aesthetic and puts the finishing touch on the complete lodge restoration.

Secondly, please attend our final dinner/program of the Spring on May 17th. There will be an exciting program featuring David Wistreich from Wild Birds Unlimited. Our 21st annual Stan Klaybor scholarship recipient, Annalena Bellm, will be honored that evening as well. In our often uncertain world, it is always a breath of fresh air to honor and give a head start to our future environmental leaders.

Speaking of giving, special thanks to those who participated in our open house on April 30th. We handed out over 500 tree seedlings to the public and members. We had eager tree planters show up early, anxiously awaiting their seedlings!

Another gift for our members! The Whistle Pigs are coming back! Mark August 19th on your calendar for our annual hog roast. Cover charge for the band is FREE for all IKE members.
